One problem area on squarebody trucks is around the cowl panel. Water tends to drain down where the hood hinge fits into the cowl. The solution to this problem is known as a Hood Hinge Deflector. These deflectors mount to the cowl panel underneath the hinge to prevent water from entering the cowl area. Over the years these deflectors become hard and brittle and can no longer do their job. Our new hinge deflectors made from stamped steel, that is plated for corrosion protection, then covered in vulcanized rubber.
